Privacy Policy

Mad Puzzled is a jigsaw puzzle game made by WickedSelf LLC. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect, why we collect it, who helps us run the game, and how you can delete your data. Short version: we collect what the game needs to work, we never sell your information, and you can delete your account at any time.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you create an account. Signing in works by a code sent to your email, so the email address is the account.
- Your profile: the username you pick and your game progress (levels, solve times, personal bests, badges, membership status).
- Purchase records: if you buy a VIP membership we keep a record of the purchase (what, when, which plan). Payments are processed by Stripe on our website and by Google Play in our Android app. We never see or store your card number.
- Things you write: crew chat messages, shared-board chat, and feedback you send us. Chat is filtered before it is stored, and our Community safety page explains how moderation works.
- Push notification subscriptions, only if you turn notifications on. You can turn them off any time in your browser or phone settings.
- Basic technical data: a cookie that keeps you signed in, a cookie that recognizes your device so the game can remember things like your first visit, and standard server logs (IP address, browser type) kept by our hosting provider for security.
Analytics
- We use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand which parts of the game people use, so we can improve it.
- Our PostHog setup is cookieless: it keeps its data in memory only, does not record your screen, and respects your browser's Do Not Track setting.
- A bot-protection check (Cloudflare Turnstile) may run when accounts are created, to keep fake signups out.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal information. To anyone.
- We show no third-party ads and use no advertising trackers.
- We do not ask for more than the game needs.
Who helps us run the game
A small set of service providers process data for us, only to run Mad Puzzled: Supabase (accounts and database), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments on the web), Google (payments in the Android app, and analytics), Resend (sending our emails), PostHog (analytics), and Cloudflare (bot protection). Each one receives only what its job requires. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Emails we send
- Account emails (like sign-in codes and purchase receipts) are part of how the service works.
- Game emails (like a reminder of your progress after a break) always include an unsubscribe link, and we honor it.
How long we keep data, and deleting it
- We keep your data while your account exists.
- You can delete your account yourself on the Account page, or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion removes your account and personal data from the game.
- Purchase records may be kept where tax and accounting laws require it, even after the account is gone.
Children
Mad Puzzled is not directed at children under 13, and creating an account requires you to be 16 or older. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- See or fix your information: most of it is on your Account page.
- Delete your account: Account page or the deletion page above.
- Anything else (a copy of your data, a question, a correction): email us and a human will handle it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for big changes, tell you in the game or by email.
